4.9.2007 On august 31st 2007 the State Committee approved the first complex of highway #3 built in the Northern industrial centre in the territory of the free economic zone “Grodnoinvest”. The length of the path is 475 m.   On august 31st 2007 the State Committee approved the first complex of highway #3 built in the Northern industrial centre in the territory of the free economic zone “Grodnoinvest”. The length of the path is 475 m. For a safe traffic there were organized foot-paths, three pedestrian crossings. There were arranged 20 regulatory traffic lights and lighting poles over the whole highway. This road section is spread from the crossing of Belyje Rosy str. up to the intersection of the road leading to Lapenky and Grandichy villages. This will be the shortest connection between Lapenky settlement and the city of Grodno, cutting down the distance of the previous road by 8 km. and easing off the flow of traffic in the city streets. Besides, it will secure an additional entrance for motor transport heading for the Lithuanian Republic. The dimensions of the road opened for traffic are built in such a way that in future it will be possible to organize urban public transport circulation in the direction from the microdistrict called “Deviatovka” to the Northern industrial hub of the regional centre. Such paces and volumes of the building of the road section became possible due to the carrying-out of a goal-oriented program for engineering and transport arrangement of the free economic zone territories that are under development. In prospect the administration of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” plans a new complex road running 960 meters and spreading from the railway-crossing of the “Meat-packing factory of Grodno” open JSC up to Novaya str. In Grandichy village.
