On March 17, 2009 there was signed the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus #134 “On the Introduction of Amendments and Additions to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of April 16, 2002 #208”. The objectives of the Decree are: growth of attracted investments, convenient location of the territory of FEZ “Grodnoinvest”, effectiveness of state and private investments in transport and engineering infrastructure.
According to the Decree the territory of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” has been increased by 1141.93 ha and now it comprises 2187.83 ha. The territory of 4 functioning land-plots of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” has been reorganized and 2 additional land-plots were included into the territory of FEZ:
- plot №5 “Obuhovo”, situated in Grodno region (total area – 492.3 ha);
- plot №6, situated in Lida and Lida region, composed of two sectors – “Northern” and “Western” (total area – 492.3 ha).
The territorial reorganization of existing land-plots and addition of new land-plots to the territory of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” will create new opportunities for foreign and domestic investments attraction, production expansion, export growth, development of import-substitution production, and creation of new jobs. |
