15.6.2009 The head of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” administration visited the city of Riga (Latvia) on the delegation of Grodno region on June 11, 2009.   The main purpose of the visit was to participate in the business forum “Belarusian-Latvian regional cooperation. Grodno region discovers Latvia”. FEZ “Grodnoinvest” resident enterprises "Zov-LenEVROMEBEL", "Navigator", "AminaInternational", "BelGro", "Medvatfarm", "Grodno Building Materials Plant", "Terrazyt Plus – Windows and Doors", "BelEvropaket" took part in the forum. The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Latvia became the organizer of the event. According to the results of the forum there were achieved the agreements on investment projects promotion in FEZ “Grodnoinvest” including the opportunity of creation of a production for green-labelled cardboard using straw and flax-fibre waste. In the course of the forum the head of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” administration conducted negotiations with the director of the Latvian company “APOLLO AS” on the creation of a joint company majoring in the production of wood pellets in the territory of FEZ “Grodnoinvest”. The head of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” administration visited the Liepaja free economic zone, the Liepaja free port, and conducted negotiations with the management of the Liepaja city council and business circles of the city.
