8.1.2009 650 m highway interval №3 has been commissioned in the FEZ “Grodnoinvest” Northern industrial area “Grandichi” from Grandichskaya str...      650 m highway interval №3 has been commissioned in the FEZ “Grodnoinvest” Northern industrial area “Grandichi” from Grandichskaya str. (former Gagarina str) to the public corporation “Grodno meat processing plant”. The newly built interval meets all the urban-type highway specifications, such as: four-lane road with traffic signalization, outside lighting and two-way foot traffic.    Within the frameworks of the Program for the accelerated development of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” infrastructure the above mentioned highway will help to reduce the expenses for the implementation of the investment projects and the terms of the enterprises construction. The highway commissioning will create additional opportunities for transport connection with Grodno city center and the shortest exit road to the Lithuanian Republic. 22.1.2009 Regular air service between Moscow and Grodno has been opened on January 21, 2009.   The first flight Moscow-Grodno took place on January 21, 2009. The regular air traffic is planned to be carried out 4 times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flight time in one direction takes 2 hours. 30-seater plane Embraer-120 of Moscow City Government airlines “Atlant-Soyuz” takes off from the airport “Vnukovo” at 9.00 a.m. (Moscow time). The time of departure from the airport “Obukhovo” (13 km from Grodno) is 11.10 (Belarusian time). 29.1.2009 France business circles have interest in the investment projects of the Republic of Belarus.   On January 27, 2009 the representative of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” took part in the business meeting with the managers of “MEDEF” companies in Minsk. “MEDEF” is the top organization of employers in France. During the negotiations there were discussed the opportunities of implementation of investment projects with French participation in the territory of FEZ “Grodnoinvest”.
