10.4.2006 A regular sitting of the Committee on the Rise of Competitive Capacity of Economics took place on April 5, 2006. As a result there were considered and approved of three investment projects, presented by the administration of the free economic zone "Grodnoinvest".   The investment projects are: "Souvenir packing products manufacture & postcards production completion for Hallmark Cards PLC" (foreign enterprise "CesarBel"); "Expansion of plant-protecting agents production" (joint stock company "Grodnorajagroservice"); "Modernization of car units production" (joint stock company "Grodno Car Units Plant"). The Commission’s favorable report allows to register the enterprises implementing these projects as FEZ "Grodnoinvest" residents. 10.4.2006 A presentation of the free economic zone "Grodnoinvest" will take place in the Embassy of the Italian Republic in the Republic of Belarus, April 12, 2006.   In the course of the presentation Italian businessmen will get acquainted with the business climate of FEZ "Grodnoinvest" as well as with the work experience of its residents. 10.4.2006 A presentation of the free economic zone “Grodnoinvest” will take place in Minsk within the framework of the Mixed Belarusian-Iranian Economic Cooperation Commission, April 20, 2006.   Besides there will be held negotiations & signed investment cooperation protocols with Iranian businessmen. 19.4.2006 On April 19, 2006 the administration of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” conducted the registration as a resident of the free economic zone "Grodnoinvest" of public corporation "Grodno Plant of Motor-Car Units"   which will realize an investment project "Modernization of the acting manufacture of motor-car units". 26.4.2006 In the course of the Serbian business circles’ visit to Minsk, the Republic of Belarus there was held a presentation of the free economic zone "Grodnoinvest", April 26, 2006.   Serbian businessmen got acquainted with the FEZ “Grodnoinvest” resident enterprises’ work experience, business environment and development prospects. 28.4.2006 The administration of the free economic zone “Grodnoinvest” registered its 32nd resident, April 26, 2006.   Foreign enterprise “CesarBel”” is to realize the investment project “Souvenir packing products manufacture & postcards production completion for Hallmark Cards PLC”. 28.4.2006 The administration of the free economic zone “Grodnoinvest” held a press conference for the region’s mass media officials, April 26, 2006.   The press conference’s topic was “The Free Economic Zone “Grodnoinvest”: Year-end Results and Development Perspectives”. The Administration’s and the resident enterprises’ executives fully answered all the questions of media men during the conference. The questions were about the free economic zone economic development and legal aspects of business activity. The conference’s participants visited a range of resident enterprises: “Kvinfood” ltd., “Elephant & Co” ltd., joint enterprise “Bigan”, open joint-stock company “Grodno building materials plant”. There they got acquainted with the investment projects’ implementation as well as with the working conditions. By mutual agreement such meetings with mass media representatives will take place once every 3 months.
