In the course of the visit there will be held negotiations on the creation within the boundaries of FEZ "Grodnoinvest" of a joint-venture majoring in shock absorbers’ production. For the future enterprise it is planned to make use of spare facilities of the public corporation "Grodno Car Units Plant". |

A visit to FEZ "Grodnoinvest" of Mr. Adam Shpachinsky, manager of the German firm "Großhandel", is expected this week. |

In the course of the visit there will be discussed issues of realization of an investment project on creation of an enterprise majoring in production of gypsum cardboard. The German businessman will acquaint himself with free work areas for the new enterprise as well as with land plots having engineering and transport infrastructure. |

Within the framework of the Gannover Industrial Fair (the Federal Republic of Germany, 24-28.04.2006) there will be held a presentation of FEZ “Grodnoinvest”. |

During the Fair it is planned to sign several cooperation protocols between FEZ “Grodnoinvest” and a range of German firms. At present there are being held negotiations on realization of some German-initiative investment projects within the boundaries of FEZ “Grodnoinvest”. |

There is expected a visit of a delegation of the German firms “Fey & Co”, “Bodet & Horst”, “Relax” January 25, 2006. |

The purpose of the visit is to negotiate with the administration of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” on the creation of an enterprise majoring in the production of furniture accessories and its further registration as a resident of the free economic zone. |

A progressive development of FEZ “Grodnoinvest” resident-enterprises’ economy is confirmed by the following indices: volume of the production manufactured in 2005 showed the results exceeding the 2004 performance by 40%, sales proceeds – by 130%, export – by 122%. In the resident-enterprises there were created more than 310 work places.
Last year at the expense of the state capital investments in FEZ “Grodnoinvest” there was built transport and engineering infrastructure covering 11,5 hectares and allowing investors to considerably cut down on construction expenses and to shorten their projects’ pay-back period.
Last year in addition to 23 already working enterprises there were registered 6 new ones. They plan to realize their investment projects within the boundaries of FEZ “Grodnoinvest”.

A grand opening of production facilities of "Elefant & Co" joint-stock limited company (Belarus, Sweden) will take place January 27. The enterprise is a FEZ resident. |

There was built a new production basis conforming to the international quality and reliability standards. It was built out of new building materials using advanced technologies. Workshops are outfitted with a new highly productive equipment similar to that used in Sweden, Germany, Italy and other Western Europe countries. It enables the enterprise to repair European car transport of all classes and models. |

During the meeting there were considered and got a favorable review four investment projects planned to be realized within the boundaries of FEZ "Grodnoinvest":
- "Creation of a joint Belarusian-Belgian enterprise majoring in shock-absorbers’ production" (public company "Grodno Automobile Aggregate Plant", Belarus, "Tenneko Automotive Europa N.B.", Belgium),
- "Creation of an enterprise majoring in small architectural and decorative wood-based items’ production" (foreign limited liability company "DGH-Sad", Germany),
- "Expansion and reequipment of furniture production" (joint stock limited company "Zov-LenEVROMEBEL", Belarus),
- "Creation of a plant majoring in the production of fodder additives, whole milk substitutes for farm animals" (limited liability company "Biokom", Belarus).

Representatives of the Belgian company "Tenneko Automotive Europa N.B.", which is part of the American corporation "Tenneko", will visit FEZ "Grodnoinvest" January 31-Fabruary 1, 2006 to negotiate on the creation of a joint enterprise majoring in shock-absorbers’ production within the boundaries of FEZ. |

For the future enterprise it is planned to use "Grodno Automobile Aggregate Plant" spare production capacities and areas. |

Within the framework of the seminar "Legal aspects of trade and investment in Belarus" which is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Belarus and Poland and held in Warsaw February 7, 2006, there will take place a presentation of the free economic zone "Grodnoinvest". |

In the seminar there will take part diplomatic representatives of two countries, ministries and banking establishments’ officers, law and investment experts, businessmen. It is planned to sign several co-operation protocols between the administration of FEZ "Grodnoinvest" and a range of Polish firms. |
